Privacy & safeguards

Clinical relevance
The interview is guided by a healthcare-specific competency framework and asks for examples, context and behaviours—not personality judgements.
Safeguarding
A reviewing mentor confirms that nothing needs further follow-up before the physician sees the report. Serious safety concerns follow a defined, consent-based process.
How feedback providers are protected
Identity deleted after sign-off: When the reviewing mentor signs off the review, each feedback provider's name and email are permanently deleted from the record.
Identity shared only with consent: If a feedback provider raises a serious safety concern, Refract asks whether their identity can be shared with the reviewing mentor — and shares it only if they agree. Decline, and it stays sealed; the concern is still passed on, without their name.
